The board listened to your suggestions, analysed the data, reviewed all the possibilities - AND the 2007 Area 3 Show Season looks like it will be great!!!

The Area 3 AGM was held Sunday, January 14 at the Orangeville Agricultural Society Fairgrounds the new home of the Spring Classic. Thank you to all who attended for your support and the positive feedback to the Board. It was obvious that this Board has been very busy and on behalf of the Area 3 members, I would like to thank the Board for all the VOLUNTEER hours they “put in” to make 2006 a success and for the work that has already gone into what looks like an even better 2007. All members of the 2006 Board of Directors will be returning in 2007 with the addition of myself. As well, Corey Taylor (points), Shannon Cairncross-Griffin (sponsorship director) and Greg Reeves (trail design) have volunteered in non-board roles again in 2007. A few key points from the AGM:

Valerie Love presented comprehensive financial statements outlining revenue and expenses associated with each Area 3 show

Janet Faas has developed the Area 3 Promotional Club Constitution and By-laws. A vote to approve the by-laws will be held at the Spring Classic. Information regarding the vote will be posted on the Area 3 website and in The Rider.

Valerie Love reviewed the 2007 Area 3 stall reservation policy and the new stall requests for groups.

Shannon Cairncross-Griffin gave a report of 2006 sponsorships and made a request to anyone wishing to obtain sponsorship information to please contact her.

Carol Reeves presented a few highlights for the 2007 show season (tentative and your ideas are welcome):

- Performance Halter added at all shows

Spring Classic - May 18-21 - New location with indoor arena - Orangeville Agricultural Society Fairgrounds
 - Gambler’s Choice Trail (added Calcutta)
– Barbecue (Saturday evening)

Summerama - June 29-July 2 Caledon Equestrian Park - multi-ring format returns in 2007
- Added money NSBA classes – Jackpotted HUS & WP classes
- Special event reining class
- Beach volleyball (Friday evening)
- Wine & cheese reception (Saturday evening)
- Dance with live band (Sunday evening)

All Novice Show - NEW for 2007
