SPRING CLASSIC NEWS... Even though the weather wasn't co-operating for the first Area 3 show of the season, the hearty exhibitors came out and continued to show all weekend long and we had an excellent turnout! The facility at Barrie provides us with warm, dry barns to get toasty between classes and the footing stayed excellent even with the rain.
The
show had 530 entries and the largest class was the Novice
Amateur Western Pleasure on Monday with 27 entered. With a
show of this size, we have many people to thank along the way...
Thanks to our judges who braved
the cold all weekend long (we hear they made several trips to Walmart for warm & dry clothes!) and to the AQHA officials who
were available throughout the show to answer questions. Thanks
to our new show office team - Leslie & Beth - who kept
everything running smoothly & efficiently. As always - thanks to
Ken McLellan and Jean Walker (our show managers) for running the
show - making the tough decisions and keeping things moving
along with a great positive attitude! And a special thank you to
the crew from Kelly Simpson Training Centre who set up and maintained
the trail course all weekend. And to Bonnie & Peter Lawson and Tracy
Rinzema for organizing our fun events. Congratulations to the Area 3
directors & volunteers who made this show into a success! A job well done by all!
