OQHA Queen & Jr. Princess contest were held during Summerama 2005.

Yet again, mother nature dealt us a beautiful weekend in which to enjoy our largest show of the year. Although our entries were down, it was wonderful to see some of our American friends up again this year despite the competing Quarter Horse show in Michigan and the World Paint Show. Dan and Darlene Trein and the Dalton team once again held a strong representation on behalf of our American counterparts.

A special congratulation goes out to Angela McRae who won High Point Amateur and Canadian High Point Amateur this year. All placings and circuit award winners can be found on our Area 3 website as soon as they are available and will be mentioned in the next issue of “The Rider”.

We had a tremendous showing for the Ontario Youth Team Tournament with 50 youth members! Our ‘Southwest’ Silent Auction brought in over $1,500 for our club and the signed print draw provided by Granton Trailers brought in nearly $800. Along with the expected proceeds from the sale of tickets for the scooter donated by Dreamheart Quarter Horses, the club has earned an extra $4,000 this summer! Thanks again to everyone for supporting Area 3.
