SUMMERAMA 2007, Ontario’s Largest Quarter Horse Show Circuit played host to 3,320 entries over the 4 days. Judges for this year’s show were Dan Williams, Illinois; Jane Pruitt Bagley, Texas; Gay Lynn Owens, Iowa; and Kerry Allen, Virginia. Susan Robinson of Kincardine, Ontario served as the 4th NSBA Judge. Holman Photography was the official show photographer and sponsor of a photo to the High Point Novice Youth and Amateur Circuit Champions.

There were 120+ entries in the Showmanship Classes - that number included 12 entries in the Small Fry Showmanship. Class Circuit Award Winner was Lindsey Trembath with Jae Brownburn. Reserve Circuit Award Winner was Jasmin Rivait with Classical Version. There were more than 60 entries in the Trail Classes featuring well appointed and challenging courses designed by Greg Reeves of Mt. Albert. Fox Harley Davidson-Buell, Owen Sound owned by Randy and Lynda Fox continued their sponsorship tradition - sponsoring the Walk Jog/Trot and Lead Line Classes. The Class Circuit Award for Walk-Jog, a Buckle was won by Kaitlin Storey of Orillia riding Cruzing With Cash. The Reserve Circuit Award for Walk-Jog was a tie between Samantha Howe of Newmarket riding Howes This and Lindsey Trembath of Sault Ste. Marie riding Jae Brownburn. Gifts courtesy of Fox Harley Davidson-Buell, as well as goodie bags and stuffed bears were donated by Assistant Show Manager, Jean Walker and Gate Steward, Theresa Wallace. The Lead Line Circuit Champion was Kaitlyn Howe of Newmarket riding Howes This. Reserve High Point Lead Line Circuit Champion was Sharese Rivait of Orillia riding Classical Version. The Novice Division had some large classes with 25 entries showing in the Novice Amateur Hunter under Saddle and 20 entries showing in the Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle. Summerama Class Champion embroidered Halters were presented as Class Circuit Awards. Leslie Ellins and her sister, Beth, the Summerama Show Secretaries provided a Gift Certificate to the Circuit Champion in Select Amateur Showmanship won by Sherry Newbigging of Cambridge with For The General.

The NSBA 3 & 4 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle was won by Nuthinbut Blue Skies owned by Joanne Nimigan of Hamilton ridden by Patti Carter earning $608.37, as well as the NSBA Bronze. 2nd Place earning $473.18 was A Krymsun Missile owned by Kathleen Sellwood and ridden by Jim Tunks. 3rd Place went to Optimistic View owned by Diane Cellini of Rockwood and ridden by Jodi Mallette. The NSBA 3 Year Old Western Pleasure was won by Shilfiger It Out owned by Dawn Campbell and earning $740.77, as well as the NSBA Bronze. 2nd place earning, $493.85 was So Simple So Good, owned and ridden by Bill Rinzema of Keene. The NSBA Yearling Longe Line sponsored by Pat Heeley Pleasure Horses was won by Charilie McDreamy owned by Julie Leek of Dryden, Michigan and shown by Rick Leek earning $358.88. The NSBA 2 Year Old Snaffle Bit Western Pleasure was sponsored by Aurora Wind Feeds, Stratton. The Co Champions were Only Zips Invited owned by Davis & Robare, Ortonville, Michigan and shown by Jason Ducharme and A Sweet Version owned by Dori Lehmann, Burford ridden by Jonathon Newnham each earning $291.59. 3rd Place earning $149.80 was Hot Roddin Minute owned by Anita Newbigging McGrath and ridden by Paul McGrath. The NSBA Green Trail was won by EBG Certainly owned and ridden by Mackenzie Harvey of Toronto earning $403.34. 2nd Place went to Hes Asgoodasitgets owned by Shelley Scriver and ridden by Jodi Mallette earned $302.51. 3rd Place went to Made On An Impulse owned by Debbie Marshall, London and ridden by Vonda O”Donnell earned $201.67. 4th Place went to Gone Bar Huntin owned and ridden by Elizabeth Willsey of Orillia earning $100.84. The NSBA Non Pro All Age Hunter Under Saddle was won by Nuthinbut Blue Skies owned by Joanne Nimigan and ridden by Sarah Nimigan earned $348.18. 2nd Place went to I Did It In A Minute owned and ridden by Kelly Sparks of Harley earning $270.80. There was tie between Shelley Stephens of St. George riding Just A Minute Please and Optimistic View owned and ridden by Diane Cellini each earning $77.37. The NSBA Non Pro All Age Western Pleasure was won by Shilfiger It Out owned and ridden by Dawn Campbell of Goodrich, Michigan earning $365.77. 2ND Place earning $284.49 was EBG Certainly owned and ridden by Mackenzie Harvey of Toronto. 3rd Place was Lopin Good Principle owned by Catherine Larsen of Peterborough and ridden by Kimberley Larsen. The NSBA Green Western Riding was won by Kim Allen of Palgrave with Show Your Invitation earning $330.58. 2nd Place earning $257.12 was Traded the Krystal owned and ridden by Corey Taylor of Wasaga Beach. Total Interest owned by Judi Woodley of Chelmsford ridden by Blair Woodley earned $146.92 in 3rd Place.

Sunday night, exhibitors and their families and guests were treated to a Dance and Live Music with Gary Heaslip & the Cellar Door Band.

The High Point All Around 14 – 18 Youth was Mackenzie Harvey of Toronto with EBG Certainly. Caitlyn Black of Orangeville and Generally Charming were Reserve High Point 14 – 18. The High Point All Around 13 & Under was Paige Carter-Fleetwood of St. George with Docs Daring Me . The Reserve High Point 13 & Under was Michelle Wright of Orangeville with Zips Dynamic Design. The High Point All Around Amateur All Ages was Amanda Pereira of Nobleton with Mintubee Certifiable. The Reserve All Around Amateur All Ages was Sarah Black of Orangeville with My Net Worth. There was some tight competition again this weekend in the Novice Youth Division with Shawna Stemmler of Orillia and Scotch Bar General tying with Samantha Betts of Cambridge and Direct Connect for the High Point Novice Youth. Shawna was the winner of the High Point award as a result of the tie breaking procedure. High Point Novice Amateur was Shelley Scriver of Belfountain with Hes Asgoodasitgets with Susan Campbell of Bolton and Mr Te Skips Softly, the Reserve High Point Novice Amateur of the Circuit. The High Point Select Amateur was Sherry Newbigging of Cambridge with For The General. Lloyd Junkin of Uxbridge with Hillbilly Royalty, Corey Taylor of Wasaga Beach with Traded The Krystal, Cathy Lemieux of Val Caron and Tabu on You were tied for Reserve High Point Select Amateur. As a result of the tie breaking procedure, Lloyd Junkin was the Reserve High Point Select Amateur.
