Elizabeth
WillseyGone Bar Huntin HUNTER UNDER SADDLE You can't miss Elizabeth Willsey in the Novice Youth and Youth 14-18 classes with her striking 5 year old, grey gelding, Gone Bar Huntin (Bart). Bart was purchased for Liz after Summerama 2006 and with the help of Kelly Simpson and Pat Chamberland - from day one the two have been a winning pair. In fact, they placed Top Ten in 13 & Under Hunter Under Saddle at the 2006 Quarter Horse Congress, after only a short few months of working together. Liz is 15 years old and is in Grade 10 at Orillia District Collegiate & Vocational Institute. She spends many hours working on becoming a better rider. Her future plans include going to university and to be successful in a career. She doesn't know exactly what that career will be, but she would like to work somewhere that involves horses or allows her the time and money to ride horses. |

Emma
StoreyCruzing With Cash SHOWMANSHIP 13 year old, Emma is realizing one of her goals this October – showing in Showmanship at the Quarter Horse Congress. AND placing in her strongest class would be an added bonus. Emma’s show partner, a gentle, sorrel, peppermint eating gelding named Cruzing with Cash (Cruz) is her best friend. The pair have won many awards at club shows and are winning their fair share of ribbons on the Area 3 Quarter Horse Circuit this summer in Youth 13 & Under and Novice Youth classes – thanks to the help of coaches Kelly Simpson and Pat Chamberland. Emma is proud to say that her sister, Katie was the Walk/Jog Champion at Summerama 2007 with Cruz. The grade 8 student at Marchmont Public School loves gym, but her best subject is math. Basketball is one of Emma’s favourite hobbies and she knows what she wants to do – play high school basketball, then university basketball, then the Women’s National Basketball Association. She says she will always continue to ride though and hopes to own her own ranch. |
