Elyse O’Donnell from Palgrave Ontario will be showing her 5-year-old gelding Fred Pullupyoursox this year. This will be her second year showing Fred, she showed him last year after handing the reins of Rusty’s Prime Time over to her dad (Rick). She started riding at the age of six and has been showing Quarter horses for five years. Elyse is a grade eight student at Country Day School in King City. Her favourite subjects are Drama and Science. This year Elyse looks forward to showing in Ontario and the U.S. with hopes of attending the Congress. Her goal is to have a 100-point season. She will be showing in 13 and Under events for the last time this year and moving on to 14 through 18 next year. She shows out of her own Barn Faugh-a-Ballagh, which is Old Irish for ‘Clear the Way’. Her trainer and coach is Kim Allen. The some awards and accomplishments Elyse has to her name include:
Elyse is looking forward to competing in the Youth Team Challenge at Summerama this year. Her favourite events are Horsemanship and Trail. Elyse would like to thank her Dad and Kim Allen for taking her to all the shows she has attended. Let’s watch for this talented team and wish them a successful show season.
