Jessica Elders and her horse, Leo To Impress, are one of Area 3's outstanding teams this summer!  Jessie is 11 years old and has been riding "Leo" for 2 years.  Her favourite event is Hunter Under Saddle and her favourite show is Summerama.  She competes in Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation classes, and she has just recently begun showing in Western Pleasure and Horsemanship classes as well.  She trains with Donna Barton in Markdale.

Jessie will begin grade 7 at Holland Chatsworth Central School in Markdale this fall.  Her favourite subject in school is English and she loves writing in her free time.  Jessie's goals for the future include a possible career as a teacher.  As for her riding goals, Jessie hopes to work towards an all-round award for 2002.
