| Youth Spotlight - Kimberley Larsen by Elizabeth Willsey |
|
Kimberley has had many accomplishments at the Quarter Horse shows and has won OQHA and EOQHA year-end awards with Bernie. She has also had an extremely successful year with her reining mare, although she just started reining. Her trainer, Bill Rinzema rode Mellow in the Open Reining at Summerama and won the circuit award. Kimberley’s favourite classes are Western Pleasure with Bernie and Reining with Mellow. Her future goals for riding include: competing at the All American Quarter Horse Congress with Mellow, and also to win a big futurity. Kimberley is heading into Grade 12 at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School. When she’s not riding, she spends her time playing varsity field lacrosse. She wants to go to university and get a business or law degree and aspires to own her own business one day …. Of course, all while continuing to show Quarter horses! Good Luck Kimberley and hopefully we will see you at the Congress in Reining with Mellow! |
