Sam Kochamba is one of Area 3's newer members. She's owned her gelding BF Collect My Chex for just one year, and is now becoming a familiar face at the Area 3 shows. She shows 7-year-old 'Tim' in novice-youth as well as 13 and under Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation classes. She has also begun to show Tim in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, and Horsemanship. Before she began training with Lindsay Grice in Caledon, Sam competed at club shows over fences.

Sam just finished grade 8 at St. Cornelius Elementary School in Caledon East. She turns 14 this July, and plans to attend Mayfield Secondary School in the fall. In her free time Sam likes to sing, and says she'd like to act in the future. For now Sam's focusing on having a successful show season with Tim.
