Youth Spotlight – Julie Scrivo

In Youth Spotlight by admin

One youth to watch out for this season, entering her last year in youth events is Julie Scrivo. She is sure to make it a great year with a great line up of horses entering the ring with her. This coming show season you can watch for Julie and her horses Justa Little Twisted in western riding and reining, Good At Being First in halter, showmanship, western pleasure and horsemanship, and Harvards Tuition in western pleasure under the guidance of Dave Aitchison.

With all those horses on the go Julie does however find time do things other than horsey things. In her free time you can find Julie snowboarding, or doing some kind of photography or design.

Julie reminisces with us and looks back at her greatest achievement, which was easy for her, her first 1st in western pleasure with her gelding Mitogenetic. Julie has been involved in horses the past seven years and has loved every minute of it. It’s not often you see this young horsewoman at a show and she isn’t helping fellow riders, at her stalls, or watching the show.

Julie loves everything about showing, the atmosphere, the people, the way it brings us all together, and the dedication each one of her competitors have so much of. This is one girl who truly has the “horse show bug”.

Area 3 would like to wish Julie and all three of her mounts the best of luck this upcoming year.
